Every year we administer the Stanford Achievement test to all K/5-12^th grade students. The Stanford is a 4-6 day battery of subtests used throughout the nation and chosen by the American Association of Christian Schools to measure the academic progress of students and classes within its member schools.

We are proud of the academic achievements of our students, as measured and reflected by our Stanford scores each year. Every class consistently performs well above the national average from year to year.

The tables at the bottom of this page show three types of scores for CCS classes last year:

1. The Average Grade Equivalence (A.G.E.): This is the average of individual grade equivalence scores (G.E.) within each grade level. The Stanford is administered in the 8^th month of the school year. Therefore, for 1^st grade an A.G.E. of 1.8 would meet the national average while 2.4 would exceed the national average by about ½ of a grade level.
2. The Median Grade Equivalence (M.G.E.): When all scores within a class are compared from highest to lowest, the median is the G.E. score that divides the class exactly in half.
3. The Percentile (PS): Percentile scores range from 1 to 100 with the 50^th percentile representing the National Average. A 1^st grade percentile of 75 means that the class average is higher than 75% of the other 1^st grade classes nationwide.

Reading and math are foundational skills that must be mastered in school. Therefore, in addition to Overall scores (listed first), Reading and Math scores are also provided.
