Much of the world has now accepted the theory of evolution as fact.  Yet the molecules-to-man theory has no direct evidence to support it at all.  Scientific evidence, however, overwhelmingly supports Biblical Creationism. Yet both media and public education hide the truth and promote assumptions as facts.  Evolution has affected every field of science, as well as the culture and ethics of our society.  Many social, political, and personal problems lead back to a core belief in evolution, because if man was not created, he is not responsible to God. 

Even in a Christian environment, young people are influenced unknowingly by our evolutionary society.  They often cannot discern “scientific” errors or defend their faith. Many even have their own faith shaken.  Students must be thoroughly grounded in the truth of, and the scientific evidences for biblical Creationism. Christians must also know, and have rebuttals for, the false arguments of the enemy.

Science & Origins is a special class required at CCS that exposes students to the great Creationism defenders of our day (Henry Morris, Duane Gish, Ken Ham, etc.).  Through a carefully compiled series of lectures, videos, textbooks, required readings, discussions, and projects, students study and learn to stand for truth regarding the creation vs. evolution issue.  Students memorize relevant Scripture and answers to commonly asked questions related to origins.  At CCS, Science & Origins, equips students to defend their faith, enabling them to “give an answer to every man…of the hope that is in them.”

The CCS Science & Origins class is one more proof that our mission is producing spiritually minded graduates who will influence others for Christ for a lifetime.
